EOSC-ENTRUST publishes first-year technical reports

EOSC-ENTRUST has published three reports describing technical work during the project’s first year. The reports describe progress in AAAI (Authentication, Authorization and Auditing Infrastructure), technical Trusted Research Environment (TRE) Blueprint validation by use cases and the establishment of a TRE Provider Forum.

Highlights of the EOSC and EHDS joint workshop on secure processing of health data

On 4 February 2025, EOSC-ENTRUST held an online workshop with the European Health Data Space (EHDS) to discuss secure processing of health data. The workshop also addressed how the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and EHDS can collaborate to achieve interoperability in Trusted Research Environments (TREs)/Secure Processing Environments (SPEs).

Progress made at the EOSC-ENTRUST Blueprint validation workshop

On January 21 and 22, Health-RI hosted the EOSC-ENTRUST Blueprint validation workshop, bringing together 31 in-person and 15 online participants from 12 European countries. The project partners joined forces to conduct a gap analysis between driver requirements and the EOSC-ENTRUST Blueprint, providing crucial input for the driver validation report.

New £6.2 million programme to build and test new capabilities for sensitive data research

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has awarded £4.94 million towards a £6.20 million programme, TREvolution, to advance the development of key technical requirements and capabilities for UK Trusted Research Environments (TREs) as part of DARE UK.

The Research Data Alliance working group on Trusted Research Environments is endorsed and now live. The group seeks to produce a better understanding of the elements making up TREs and will have close alignment with EOSC-ENTRUST.

One such solution is Anjana, a tool designed to anonymise data while preserving its effectiveness for machine learning models.
