Pope Francis adds Coptic Orthodox martyrs to liturgical book of saints
Pope Francis added 21 Coptic Orthodox martyrs (20 men from Egypt, and 1 from Ghana), murdered ISIS, to the Catholic Church's official martyrology. Although a rare occasion, this is not the first time that non-Catholic Christians have been inserted into the Roman Martyrology.
