Deals, steals, and news from author Michelle Isenhoff.

Have you ever won an award? A little league trophy? A high school sports letter? Chances are, you've held onto a few. One of my books earned an honor I'm particularly proud of.

The Wishing Shelf Independent Book Award is an annual contest based in the UK that's judged entirely BY KIDSI entered Taylor Davis and the Flame of Findul in 2015, and though I didn't take top honors, I did qualify as a finalist. If you've got young readers, Taylor Davis and the Flame of Findul is available free at all major online vendors.

Here's some of the feedback from the kids who served as judges. I couldn't ask for higher praise!

Cool story. It reminded me of Percy Jackson. Non-stop adventure. Also, Taylor’s funny. I liked it a lot.
BOY, aged 12

I liked many things. Firstly, the characters were very funny. Secondly, the speech was well written. Thirdly, the cliffhanger at the end is cool. I will read the rest [in the series]. I’m presently on Clash of Kingdoms and it’s just as good.
GIRL, AGED 13

This book should be turned into a movie!
BOY, age 12

Before you go, be sure to check out the books and promos featured below. They're always free or bargain priced. I generally bounce between speculative and historical fiction (the main genres I write in), and sometimes some fantasy, middle grade, or a bit of romance, just to keep things interesting.

Happy reading!

Michelle
