Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
The Project and Expenditure Report for Treasury’s State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) is due for all Tribal recipients tomorrow, Tuesday, April 30, 2024. As noted in Treasury’s March 28, 2024 Compliance and Reporting guidance, Tribal and other recipients are required to manage and monitor subrecipients to ensure compliance with SLFRF award requirements. According to 2 CFR 200.332(h), all pass-through entities must “[c]onsider taking enforcement action against noncompliant subrecipients as described in § 200.339 of this part and in program regulations.” If a Tribal recipient recoups SLFRF funds from a subrecipient, the Tribal recipient could reallocate the funds towards another eligible project, keeping in mind the December 31, 2024 obligation deadline.
On April 1, 2024, Treasury released the SLFRF Project and Expenditure Report User Guide to assist all recipients to submit a successful SLFRF Project and Expenditure Report. Questions regarding the SLFRF Project and Expenditure report, or to request access to the submission portal, please email SLFRF@treasury.gov.
