Holidays provide instant content to post on social media. Posting publicly is a great way to reach folks outside your inner Scouting circles. Social media is a great tool to get the word out about your Unit AND about Scouting in the Granite State. It's also important to utilize your public pages as a place to share useful and interesting information to your community. You want to be the "go to" source for families!

Theodore Roosevelt has the honor of being the only person ever named Chief Scout Citizen.
William Howard Taft was Scouts BSA's first honorary president and the sitting president during their first annual meeting at the White House on February 14, 1911.
Woodrow Wilson signed a bill granting the Boy Scouts of America a charter.
Calvin Coolidge, while not a Scout himself, was the first President to enroll his sons in the program.
Franklin D. Roosevelt was the first elected president who had also served as a Scout leader and had a 24-year record of serving in the Scouts.
Dwight D. Eisenhower not only had a son who was a Scout but was also a member of the National Executive Board in 1948.
John F. Kennedy was the first president who was also a Scout. He served in a Troop in Bronxville, New York from 1929 to 1931.
Richard Nixon hosted the first National Explorer President's Congress on the White House lawn in 1971.
Gerald Ford has the distinction of being the first, and ONLY, Eagle Scout to become president.
Jimmy Carter was heavily involved in Scouting as an Explorer Advisor and Scoutmaster. His wife was a Den Mother and Cubmaster. All three of their sons participated in Scouts.
Both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush were Cub Scouts.

Troop 20, Hudson hosted their largest campout since the start of the pandemic! The Scouts enjoyed the great outdoors this past weekend at Beaver Brook.
