Issue 80- October 2, 2020

Hello Friends-

"Welcome back to this week's episode of, "The Cre8tive Life"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and musings.

We have officially entered into the second day of October...275 days into 2020...can you believe it?

I was doing some random reflecting the other day, and calculated that it has been 208 days since I have been physically in the space of someone that I actually know (aside from the very sparse sightings of my landlord); and, that I have probably only put on "real clothes" like 5 times (and to be honest, that's probably being very generous). Additionally, most of the photos that I have taken this year have been of art that I've made, and my occasional food creations with my air fryer. It's so wild to think about..

This week has been quite an interesting one. I've spent most of my time working on a big Virtualizations project, doing a lot of cleaning, attending a conference, eating Red Vines, and bidding on some other potential client work.

I also decided to do my very first art challenge! I'll be cre8ting something every single day for the month of October (*feel free to follow along with the hashtag, #ArtoberWithE, if interested).

What has been going on in your world?

Sending you lots of love, hugs, and good vibes!!!

Random stories, pictures, video highlights, and other life musings can be found on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week (when/if I end up posting anything).

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Continued prayers that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy

(mentally & physically) out there 💗.

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Anecdoche (n): a conversation in which everyone is talking but nobody is listening

  • ADVICE: “An ant on its feet can do more than an elephant lying down." - African Proverb

  • MOOD MUSIC: I've somehow found myself listening to a lot of Anita Baker this week. Mostly the songs on her "Best Of Anita Baker" album- which is such a timeless classic.

  • QUARANTINE RECOMMENDATION: It's not an "award winning" recommendation... but, the cRaZy documentary series, "Love Fraud," should keep you shocked and entertained for a bit.

  • LIFESTYLE TIP: If anyone else is taking on a big housecleaning project like me, you may find this 20 Day Decluttering Guide to be helpful.

I know that most people mean well when they ask, "How are you?" But, that question can always feel so loaded (to me) for some reason. So, when I came across this post, it instantly resonated with me as a great alternative to spark a more meaningful and connected conversation. It helps unpack the load of thoughts that may be weighing on someone in more bite-sized chunks. Anyway, just thought I'd share it as a reference that might be of help to you.

This week's challenge is to use at least one of the above prompts as your next conversation starter.

Hope you will join me for a complimentary session of

Cre8tive Art Therapy next Thursday, October 8th!

I will be facilitating a virtual small group session for people who need to

take a little break from the "madness of the world,"

and explore their cre8tive side.

*Event will be capped at 10 people

*As a reminder, "Virtualizations!" are my highly curated, virtual event offerings. If you (or, a friend) have an upcoming birthday (or other virtual celebration need), I would love to be considered as your virtual event planner or consultant! Together we can craft a unique and engaging virtual experience that all your attendees will be touched by! Please feel free to reach out to me HERE for more details! I look forward to working with you!

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways. Feel free to CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE to see what I do, and let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you out! As always, if this newsletter is "not your thing", please feel free to unsubscribe (however, I really hope you don't).
