Decide on a plan before you start making ๐Ÿ”ฎ

When working on your own projects, it's important to develop a plan on how you will approach decisions around when to start, stop, or pause working on a particular idea. I find that it's best to set timelines and goals up front so that when you're in the thick of a project it's easy to see where you are. Things like:

  • Decide how much time you want to spend on an MVP
  • Set a goal for how much validation you need to continue to the next phase
  • Plan for what else you will put on the side or pause in order to devote the needed time to a project
  • Set routines for when to work on your projects
Deciding on these types of guidelines ahead of time and document them in your notes somewhere. Reference them often and it will be easier to avoid chaos and stress that can come with trying to prioritize side projects.
Now, let's talk introductions...

โšก Meet Vectary - The Easiest Online 3D Design and 3D Modeling Software

Vectary is a 3D design platform that creates high-quality photo-realistic renders, all in the browser. It's the perfect tool for anyone who wants to create rich visual presentations in a much more realistic way than what you can accomplish using 2D images in photoshop. Vectary features a library of thousands of 3D models that you can drag and drop to compose your scenes. You can choose from various textures and materials, including glass, wood, fabric, and more.

I originally went to school for 3D design, so this type of tool has a special place in my heart. It's amazing to see how far 3D modeling tools have come over the years, and Vectar feels like a tool from the future! You can create your first 3 projects for FREE! Take a look at the examples on the Vectary site, and sign up for the trial.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Meet Mark Magnuson - @MarkMagnuson

Mark Magnuson is the founder of Bildr, a new no-code platform that (believe it or not) can actually build other no-code tools. I was fortunate to have coffee with Mark last month when he was here in Atlanta, and enjoyed getting to hear about his story and background. As someone who founded my own software agency years ago, I was very interested in learning about how Mark not only started with a software agency, but also how he spawned Bildr by taking a home-grown tool they used to build multi-million dollar apps and converting it to a product for others to use.

I love talking to Mark because he's interesting and interested. He has a very positive outlook on the future no-code and life in general. Mark has many other interests including machine learning & AI, it's always an enlightening conversation. Make sure to follow him on Twitter and join the waitlist for Bildr if you haven't already!
