PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Invited by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Washington, D.C., a group of architectural photographers, critics, and experts from across the United States participated in a one-week cultural tour through the Emirates with the goal of introduction to the UAE’s vibrant arts and culture scene and cultivating stronger connections between U.S. and Emirati professionals working in the architectural and cultural sectors.

Members of the delegation traveled to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain. Over the course of six working days, the delegates met with leaders from the UAE’s top cultural institutions and foundations, such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Etihad Museum as well as conducted visits to architectural and heritage sites, such as Burj Khalifa, Masdar City, and Qasr Al Hosn. The exchange has been documented through photographs, which, along with notes of key takeaways, will be disseminated after the program.
