Dear St. Andrew's Community and Friends:
Today’s service features the person the Pastor Nominating Committee is presenting to you to become your next pastor: Rev. Jennifer Fraser. Rev. Fraser has chosen Jonah 3:10-4:11 as her text, and her sermon title is: “The Pain of Persistent Love.”
Two members of the PNC are participating: Linda Sizer will read Scripture and Diana Lee offers the prayers. Disciple Dog has decorated his house to celebrate Jen’s presence, and learns about some possible new members of his extended family.
Following the service, the congregation will discuss and vote on Rev. Fraser’s candidacy.
One congregational note: Linda Sorensen’s father, Dan Newhall, died on Thursday. Many of you know him from the times he preached at St. Andrew’s. A remarkable man and a beloved pastor for many years, Linda will be sharing her eulogy with us in the near future.
As I say in today’s “Welcome,” this is an exciting and historic day for St. Andrew’s. Let us all be in prayer and open to the presence of God’s Spirit with Jen and everyone.
