The month of February meant that all spring study abroad programs were finally in action! Harding University in Latin America (HULA) and Harding University in Florence (HUF) departed on the first of the month while Harding University in Greece (HUG) entered its second month of the semester. From snowcapped mountains and glaciers to deserts and cityscapes, our programs have toured a wide variety of locations in this short month. Please continue reading to learn more about each program!
Harding University in Latin America
The HULA group arrived in Lima, Peru on February 2nd where they spent two days before heading to Buenos Aires, Argentina for a week and a half. In Buenos Aires, students spent time exploring the city, including museums, rooftop classes, worship with the local church and so much more. Next, the group traveled to Patagonia where they were able to explore the beauty of the area through hiking and canoeing. Most recently, HULA arrived at its home in Arequipa, Peru.
Harding University in Greece
HUG kicked off February with a hike up "HUG mountain" (the mountain across the street from the campus) and a visit to the Acropolis in Athens. After that, the group traveled to Northern Greece where they visited Delphi, Meteora, Thessaloniki, Philippi and more. During a short independent travel period in the middle of the month, some HUG students chose to hit the ski slopes. Closing out the month, HUG crossed the Mediterranean Sea to spend a week touring Egypt!
