As part of the project to increase access to water in Cunene, fifty families from the town of Onaukute, in Ombala yo Mungo, in the Municipality of Ombadja, learned more about agricultural techniques that prioritize the efficient use of water. Drip irrigation systems are key, and they are powered by solar energy, as part of efforts to promote conservation and responsible use of water resources to increase food and nutritional security. The farmers laid out drip irrigation pipes to bring water from the Cafu Canal, fenced off plots for cultivation, and prepared beds for planting. This action is part of the FRESAN Program, carried out by ADPP Angola/CODESPA Angola, in Ombadja and Curoca.
