We have officially changed our name from INANI (from "Inkosi Inani" or "God is with you") to the "StartWell Foundation".

We, and many of our supporters, grew deep sentiments for INANI - and for a very good reason. It was always a very literal, verbal and deep affirmation to our beneficiaries (the growing children in South Africa).

With the “Pro/Con”-deliberations now behind us, we invite you to celebrate the name change to just StartWell Foundation. We are even more determined and resolute to kick child stunting in our country to the curb!

At the StartWell Foundation, we’re always working to ensure that our StartWell Grow cereal offers the best possible nutrition for growing children in South Africa. Our dietician Maria van der Merwe has recently reviewed our vitamin and mineral premix and suggested a few key improvements. With her insights and with careful consideration of the nutritional needs of local children, we’ve adjusted the micronutrient formulation for the StartWell Grow recipe.

Some more exciting news! We have recently partnered with the Atterbury Trust to secure sponsorships from OUTsurance and WeBuyCars in support of 2,000 children all over South Africa.

This project involves delivery to various schools, training teachers in measuring and data capturing, and educating communities on the importance of animal-sourced proteins for growing children.
