These days, spent alone by the ocean, have changed me, numbed my edges, like my collected beach detritus: weathered driftwood, gull-pecked moon shells, blurry seaglass as smooth and pale as the sky. But like the living creatures, a creeping crab or slimy snail, I'm also filled with determination and possibility.
