2020 is so Last Year. 

It's time for some Travel Do-Overs.

Sometimes in life, we get the chance for a do-over. A Mulligan. Or maybe the third time's the charm. On Tuesday, I'll be headed to the Amalfi Coast, Sicily, and Rome, escorting my first Mon Voyage Small Group Trip in two years. It's only one of several reincarnations of trips originally scheduled for 2020. 

It's been a long and winding road, but Mon Voyage Small Group Trips are finally resuming, with a few Mulligans plus several completely new trips. 

Here are seven (seven!) for your consideration:

1. New Orleans Réveillon is an encore presentation of a wildly successful tour of New Orleans that Mon Voyage offered in 2015. Due to popular demand, a repeat performance had been planned for 2020, but is now on the books for December 15-19, 2021. 

This trip to my hometown is a foodie's dream, with a multi-course Réveillon dinner every night in some of the city's finest restaurants. By day we will taste the art, history, and cultural gumbo that this unique American destination offers. 

We still have space for up to three additional (vaccinated) participants. Booking for this trip closes November 1st. This deadline will not be extended.

2. ABCs of the Low Countries is a May 2022 private barge charter cruise through the canals of Holland, bookended by stays in Brussels and Amsterdam. This trip appears to be sold out but could potentially accommodate one additional person in a shared cabin. Reach out to me directly to inquire.

3. Intermezzo/Interrupted was announced in 2019, scheduled for 2020, and will finally make its debut July 6-13, 2022 (land dates in Italy). This installment in our Vivace series is a whirlwind music tour that includes bucket-list opera experiences. 

We will begin in Verona, where participants may select two performances in the historic Roman arena, with the option of adding a third. (Every opera lover should see a bigger-than-life Aida production in this stunning setting!)

The trip also includes several days in Milan, where the group will enjoy a VIP package for a new production of Rigoletto at La Scala, starring Nadine Sierra as Gilda. You will also have the option to add tickets for the ballet Giselle.

Several other activities and tours are lightly scheduled for your daytime enjoyment, including a visit to the Stradivarius Foundation's Violin Museum in Cremona and a day trip to Sirmione, on Lake Garda.

Booking for this trip will open November 1st and close on November 15th. This deadline will not be extended.

4. Impressions of the Seine and Paris is an art-immersive extravaganza focused on Normandy and Paris, exploring the history, culture, and current creators of art in France. Its centerpiece is a luxurious AmaWaterways Seine cruise aboard the AmaDante, paired with a land package that includes stays in Honfleur and Paris. 

This trip takes place August 24-September 7, 2022 (land dates in France). Booking is now open and I have access to promotional group pricing on this sailing for a limited time ($1000 off per person, double occupancy,  or a single supplement of only 25%). 

5. From the Aztecs to Zócalo: Mexico City Explore the glorious multi-millennial history and culture of Latin America's most vibrant city. From the ancient pyramids of Teotihuacan to the brilliant murals adorning the interiors of the city's historic buildings, Mexico City's cultural riches never disappoint.

Details will be released in January, but mark your calendar for November 6-12, 2022.

6. Celebration of Classical Music on the Danube This early spring 2023 trip is part of the Mon Voyage Vivace series of music trips and promises to be a real treat. We will cruise the Danube on the inaugural sailing of a brand new AmaWaterways itinerary offering specially curated experiences for the music lover, such as a choral concert in the stunningly beautiful church of Melk Abbey.

We will also offer a Mon Voyage land extension package in Vienna, featuring world-class performances, the most incredible museums of the city, a visit to one of the city's charming Easter Markets, and a few music-related surprises. In addition, you may add a pre-cruise extension in Krakow, Poland.

Cruise dates are March 25-April 1, 2023; or with both land extensions, March 22-April 5, 2023. If this all sounds like music to your ears, pencil in these dates and stay tuned for more information!

7. Rhine and Moselle Splendors Did you enjoy your vicarious vacation via my posts about my recent Rhine River cruise? Picture yourself there instead of me--or with me--sailing among the castles of the Rhine Gorge, strolling through the colorful half-timbered architecture of Alsace, cycling the streets of Strasbourg, or exploring the wines of the many vineyards of the Moselle Valley. 

Join Mon Voyage for this sailing May 30-June 6, 2023. You will also have the opportunity to add a pre-cruise package in Paris or Champagne as well as a post-cruise extension on Lake Como, extending the trip to two full weeks.  You can look forward to our first presentation about this trip in November 2021.
