Celebrate The Art of Community
Join us for Third Thursday on August 21st in Uptown Kennett Square! Street closures begin at 5:00 PM, and the fun kicks off at 5:30—so make a reservation at your favorite State Street restaurant, or just come to stroll, explore, and enjoy an evening full of community vibes and interactive fun.
This month’s theme is “The Art of Community”, and we’re inviting you to get creative with us! Help Kennett Collaborative craft a giant 5-foot paper-mâché mushroom for our float in the Mushroom Parade on September 4th. You can also take part in hands-on activities like a wheel-throwing demo with Centered Clay Studio and build your own ceramic mushroom plant stake ($15), draw a self-portrait for the “Portraits of Kennett” banner with Crafts and Company (free), and learn more about the upcoming Kennett Arts Festival with KACS.
There’s even more fun throughout the evening, including: 🎶 Live music by Wayne James 🎈 Balloon twisting with Lahtesha 🎨 Face painting with BSA Troop 42 🏃♂️ Activities with the Kennett YMCA 🐶 Meet adoptable dogs from Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue 🌱 Talk native plants with Mt. Cuba Center 🖍️ Sidewalk chalk & giveaways with TMACC 🐕 Meet a service dog with Canine Partners for Life 🎭 A visit from the Kennett Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS)
Make a reservation at your favorite restaurant, or simply stroll the street and take in the energy, art, and community.
