This is a brief update to let you know about our next event - a hill walk next Sunday but firstly a special welcome to all our new subscribers and everyone who has joined us on facebook. We've had a great start to the year with the fantastic vegan fair in Hebden Bridge in January and our own egg-free cookery demo earlier this month in Todmorden. The vegan fair was very successful with stalls from local organisations (including 3 Valley Vegans), food stalls and a performance from the wonderful herbivores Mobius Loop. The fair gave people the opportunity to try out some delicious vegan food, find out more about plant-based living and meet like-minded people!

The 3VV egg-free cookery demo this month was very successful with over 30 people attending and finding out how to bake and cook without eggs. Everyone got a chance to sample the results so make sure you sign up to our next cookery demo in a couple of months - we'll let you know the date and topic when these have been confirmed.

Veganuary took the UK by storm in January with over 168,000 signing up to go vegan for the month and hopefully beyond. It seems like veganism is finally going mainstream. There is so much exciting vegan news coming out at the moment, from Tesco launching a fantastic new vegan range; one-in-ten people now want to go vegan, according to a new poll; and major brands are responding to the rise in demand for vegan food by creating more plant-based options, which will make it easier for people to make the switch. Cornetto and Goodfella's pizzas are just a couple of examples of this exciting new trend.

Next Sunday 25 February we'll be leading a hill walk from Todmorden to Hebden Bridge. See below for details.
