Romney and Manchin forum to launch Institute of Politics Speaker Series

U.S. Sens. Mitt Romney and Joe Manchin will appear together Jan. 12 during the keynote kickoff event of the new Institute of Politics at Florida State University (IOP@FSU). The virtual forum, which was planned and scheduled prior to the events of Jan. 6, is more relevant than ever following the violence at the U.S. Capitol.

Florida State University to host 33rd annual Martin Luther King Jr. Week

Florida State University will honor the legacy of the late Martin Luther King Jr. during its 33rd Annual MLK Week from Monday, Jan. 18, through Friday, Jan. 22. The weeklong celebration will feature a range of events, including virtual offerings, inspired by the theme “The Black Women in Our Lives.” Read more ... 

GAP competition supports researchers moving from laboratory to marketplace

A method to improve testing for E. coli in beef and a system for evaluating a product used to reinforce pavement earned funding through a Florida State University program that supports researchers who are bringing their academic work to the marketplace. FSU’s Office of the Vice President for Research awarded faculty members a pot of more than $73,000 through the Fall 2020 GAP Commercialization Investment Program. Read more ...
