Issue 101- February 26, 2021

Hello Friends-

"Welcome back to this week's episode of, "The Cre8tive Life"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and musings.

I hope that you have been having a good week (all things considered). Is it me, or did this one seem to fly by? Hard to believe that we will be in the month of March next week...and, that we are approaching a year of "quarantine life." This past week has been a relatively busy one for me- but, I have been trying to be super intentional about "logging out of work" at a decent time every day to keep things a bit more balanced. The highlights of the week were hosting our company wide virtual "Black History Month Trivia Gameshow," and delving into some much needed art therapy to deal with all the things that circle about in my brain...(hence this week's profile pic).

How are you holding up these days? What has been inspiring you? I'd love to hear about it! Anyway...I'll close this bit out now...Wishing each of you love, hugs, light, joy, and peace.

Continued prayers that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy

(mentally & physically) out there 💗.

MY WEEKLY PICKS:

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Laconic (adj): Expressing much in few words

  • ADVICE: "Take what is perception and transform reality."- Bunmi Samuel

  • MOOD MUSIC: This week's mood music is Weldon Irvine's, "Morning Sunrise." I have been keeping it on a continuous loop over and over.

  • QUARANTINE RECOMMENDATION: Last weekend, I was completely drained and exhausted from "people-ing," and did a major binge fest of sorts of some of the shows that I had been wanting to watch. I ended up stumbling on a series on Hulu called, "Normal People"  (quite ironic, given my mood), and really enjoyed the character development and storytelling.

  • KITCHEN CHRONICLES: In a virtual meet-up I had with some friends this past week, one of them shared a super simple recipe that they recently discovered and loved, 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies. I'm hoping to try this soon!

  • LIFESTYLE TIP: While I personally can't vouch for this (yet), a friend of mine, who also hates being cold, has been swearing by The Big Blanket. So, if you're a fellow seeker of all things warm, you might be extra excited about this too.

  • FEEL GOOD SHARE: I discovered a new favorite line dance song by Big Mucci called, "The Trailriders Shuffle" and have had a good time watching people like this do the dance. Hope this brings a smile to your heart like it did mine!

MUSINGS ON LIFE:

CRE8TIVE CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK:

This week's challenge is: To realize you're not alone.

ON THE HORIZON:

I am currently on pause with community activations as my current bandwidth is a bit limited with my full-time work projects.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!
