Happy Pride Month!!

Who's late in getting their monthly newsletter out? This person right here! May was as action packed month for me. From travelling to Nebraska to do a training on my book and to Wisconsin to see my new nibbling, May has been busy. 

ALAS! It is June, and you now what that means! PRIDE MONTH!

 In Austin our "official" Pride celebration isn't until August but June is still action packed with events to get your Pride on! This Months newsletter is dedicated to giving you a glimpse into some events. 

Wednesday, June 12th at 7pm is the 9th Annual Stonewall Celebration at the Capital. You won't want to miss it!

Checking-In with Pride Counseling Austin

I will be taking a break from Social Media for a while as I work on an exciting new project! Check back in the future for more details and a very exciting launch! 

In additional to a new project I will be launching a handful of workshops in the near future including: 

1) Building a Brand While Under Supervision

2) Working with Transgender and Non-Binary Teenager & Parents 101 

3) Talking Sex with Clients: An Introduction to Sex Education for Mental Health Practitioners. 

Those are just a few workshops I am cooking up! Check back soon!

Rare Bird Society Happy Hour!

The Rare Bird Society will be celebrating Pride Month with Happy Hour on June 7th from 4-6pm at Native Hostel πŸΈπŸ¦† We will have prizes from Package Menswear, Moontower Counseling, and Pride Counseling Austin. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ All LGBTQ+ mental health professionals are welcome to join us beautiful birds.

Pride Night: Austin Bold FC vs. Portland Timbers 2

Austin Bold FC is excited to host LGBTQ Pride Night during their home game on June 8 against the Portland Timbers 2. In honor of Pride Month in June, The Bold is partnering with Austin Pride and offering fans a specially-designed Bold FC pride jersey, with 25% of sales being donated to the Austin Gay and Lesbian Pride Foundation.

Formed in 2010, the Austin Gay and Lesbian Pride Foundation is the 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to managing and organizing Austin's annual PRIDE Celebration and Stonewall Rally. The mission of the Austin Gay and Lesbian Pride Foundation is to educate, resource, and connect the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community in Austin, Texas.

9th Annual Stonewall Celebration

The attack on the LGBTQ community is in full swing this year.

We invite you to SHOW UP and BE HEARD! We will rally at the Capitol on the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots!

Join Austin PRIDE for our 9th Annual Stonewall Celebration & Rally on the South Steps of the Texas Capitol! This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

We will pay tribute to the individuals that sparked the modern day gay rights movement in June 1969 at the Stonewall Inn and we will LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD! Share this event far and wide! We call on the entire Texas LGBTQ community and our Allies to join us!

Pride Night: Immortal Longings @ Zach Theater

Come Out and Celebrate!

For Pride Night, enjoy an exclusive pre-show reception for the first Thursday performance of the world premiere play from legendary playwright Terrence McNally, Immortal Longings. 

Immortal Longings explores the rich history of the Ballet Russes during an electrifying revolution of arts, music and dance and how a tempestuous relationship between impresario Sergei Diaghilev and sensational dancer Vaslav Nijinsky altered their lives forever. 

Exclusive bar specials all night and a pre-show reception will be catered by Pink Avocado Catering.
