Since 2020 the costs for construction materials, energy costs and difficulties in labour supply are rising worldwide. It is clear from comparisons of advice received from CEEC members both in Europe and Canada that the increase in material costs is clearly related to the reaction of members of supply chains to the pandemic and rising energy costs. It is expected that this continuing issue with resourcing and ongoing shortages, leading to unforeseen high price increases, may be with us at least well into the New Year.
As these factors are affecting differing countries at differing times an update of the CEEC Office Cost Model will be published in early 2022.
