It is summer time in Ethiopia and all schools are closed for two months vacation,
so students are on a long holiday. School children have collected their report cards and started enjoying their vacation.
During summer, most
children are spending time doing different things, such as learning handicrafts
from mothers (making baskets, spinning cotton, etc.), playing football,
planting seedlings, visiting friends or relatives, and studying for the next school year.
As rainy season is
starting, most school roads are getting muddy and slippery in this time and our construction work is paused.
Together We Learn - Ethiopia has now been
registered as an organisation by taking
over all the work of Link Ethiopia and The Kindu Trust Ethiopia from mid-April
2021. We are glad that we can now work as one organization with strength
and full energy to serve our needy communities. Considering the current living
expenses, we increased our beneficiaries’ monthly financial aid by approximately 40%,
and we are so glad to make this improvement.
Since Together We Learn - Ethiopia has registered as a local
organisation, we have also established an enthusiastic, experienced and popular board
of members from Ethiopia.
Though COVID 19 makes the situation
difficult, we are now recovering from this restricted time, you have
had a big role in taking the situation back to normal by reaching our needy
children and I thank you for your support.
Warm wishes,
Elsa Kebede
