Word For You

Sound Of Victory

27 September 2020

And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people: “Shout, for the Lord has given you the city!

Joshua 6:16(NKJV)

Alleluia is a sound of victory!

In Joshua 6:1-27, after the children of Israel had marched round the wall of Jericho for the seventh time on the seventh day, Joshua commanded the people to "shout! For the Lord has given them victory". At the time they were commanded to shout, the great wall was still standing before them. Let us not forget that these were men of war, and instead of building a siege or find a way to break into the city, all they had been doing for the past seven days was to march round the wall. It was a command that didn't make sense at that moment. But they had enough faith to obey their commander, and they shouted. And as they shouted, the wall of Jericho tumbled down before them

I hope you still have enough faith to shout Alleluia , even in this season? The reports in the news are not encouraging. We keep hoping that things will get better soon, but right now, it doesn't look realistic. But God is asking you to shout Alleluia ! It's a sound of Victory. Even when we cannot see the victory with our eyes, we know that the victory is sure, because we live by faith and not by sight.

Alleluia is a sound of victory. Let the sound of rejoicing fill your heart.

Alleluia!
