Hello there ,
Welcome back to another edition of our Weekly newsletter.
This week we're celebrating all things culture in Hull and where better to start than looking at some of the most incredible and thought-provoking exhibitions that are making their way to us this Autumn. These events showcase some of the finest artworks in the city (just like the beautiful painting by Leigh Lambert on the cover) and explore their themes and meanings.
Indian food is also on the menu this week as our local foodie, Ben, takes a look at the city's highest rated and finest Indian restaurants that are serving up authentic and tasty dishes.
Lovers of cinema and film rejoice as this week saw the announcement of the refurbishment happening over at Cineworld in Kingswood. The refurbishment sees an impressive upgrade to the foyer as well as the installation of innovative screens that will elevate your viewing experience - including Superscreen, 4DX and ScreenX.
As always, we've included an impressive list of the biggest and best events happening across the city. This week there's live music from The Pigeon Detectives, a tribute to Nirvana’s Nevermind, and local legends Low Hummer. We’ve also got live comedy at Humber Street’s Social, a film club at Wrecking Ball, and a Record Fair at Trinity Square. Also, prepare to have your mind blown as Derren Brown makes a visit to the city.
We have plenty of news stories every day now so if you'd like to keep up with it, our new Daily Dose brings you the latest stories every evening by email. Just go to your subscription settings and tick 'Daily Dose of Hull News', then 'Save Changes'.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great week!
