Can you relate?
In this pressure to make every moment count, filling my days with task after task in the pursuit of productivity, this leaves little space for the mind to just “be”.
I’ve been experimenting with giving myself mind-space in these in-between moments, so I’m not filling it with more input (sound, information, noise).
And I’ve realised just how much I’ve been distracting myself from… myself. Of course learning more through audio books and podcasts sounds like a good thing… but what happens when it’s just YOU who’s left?
It’s one thing to have a formal sitting-in-stillness meditation practice, but how are we using these insights through the rest of the day, through the rest of life?
Who’s there in those in-between moments? Are you still running away from yourself by filling the space like I’ve been?
I’ve learned so much and still learning so much from giving myself more space in those in-between moments (take those ear buds OUT!)
The #1 benefit so far: feeling a lot less overwhelmed and more OK with everything on my to do list.
This month’s 5 Good Things celebrates these transitionary moments and hopefully sparks some ideas for how you can approach yours.
