    Thought for the day

    The List

What do you want to do in your life? Have you ever written down these things? I think these days this kind of a list is called the bucket list. I wondered why it was called such a thing and then I read somewhere it comes from the saying "to kick the bucket". Which is course means dying.

So the bucket list is a list of things you want to do before you die.

Years pass so fast. I think the bucket list is one of the greatest ways to see what would really make us happy. Take a paper and a pen or sit by your computer and write. Don't analyse what you are writing, write non-stop for fifteen minutes. Anything that comes to your mind. Where do you want to travel? What do you want to learn? Whom you'd like to see (an artist, a lecturer...)? What kind of a home would you like to have? Anything.

Then have a look at your list. Divide these things under headlines such as learning, traveling, home... When you start categorising your wishes, I bet more will come to your mind as well. Write everything down.

And then have a read-through. Pick one thing from each category and think what you could do to make it a reality. Start planning. And then, start doing.

Happiness Journal / Good Luck Elephants

These two wooden elephants are from Thailand. In many places people believe that elephant statues bring good luck. I sure hope so as these two elephants are at the tiny Thai restaurant we frequent - and like every other restaurant they are struggling during these corona pandemic times.

    Kitty stone

Like so many people these days my husband and I run the errands for my mother. She is in the risk group for the corona virus and keeps in her apartment. The last time we brought her groceries, I noticed this little stone someone had painted and placed next to the wall of the apartment house my mother lives in. Isn't it just the cutest thing?

What made you happy today? Send a note and tell, if you wish to share your little happy moment with others.
