ATN BUSINESS FORUM 2019
YEREVAN, ELITE PLAZA, OCTOBER 10

The ATN Executive Board is proud to announce that the 4th biennial ATN Business Forum and the 6th General Assembly will be held in Yerevan on October 10 and 11, 2019 respectively.

The ATN Business Forum 2019 edition is dedicated to Charting a Sustainable Armenia-Diaspora Economic Partnership, including the need to further enhance global networking opportunities.

A new event format is adopted for this round: A high-level discussion focusing on the challenges of promoting Armenia Diaspora economic ties. It will consist of a dialogue on specific themes by a small group of

invited and registered participants, beginning with Diaspora's Engagement in Armenia's Economic Development Agenda where we will consider past experiences, shortcomings of FDI promotion, improving Armenia's investment image, etc..

Encouraging Diaspora's engagement cannot be successful unless we consider the environment created thanks to the political transformation. New Armenia offers new opportunities and that is why we will also ponder upon institutional and regulatory reforms affecting the Diaspora since the Velvet Revolution, the successes and failures of reaching out to Diaspora entrepreneurs, and mechanisms (or lack-of thereof) for managing investor grievances.

The ultimate goal being how to raise competitiveness through the Diaspora, the Forum will focus on policy choices and priority sectors, also on ways and means of developing an effective Armenia Diaspora business agenda through permanent dialogue, private sector platforms in Armenia and Diaspora and tools for securing long-term engagement -- including ATN's collective role.

External guest speakers from government, the private sector and NGOs will be invited to take part in the dialogue.

Following the Forum, ATN will hold its 6th General Assembly. Official delegates of member organizations and invited observers from other countries will engage in a free discussion on ATN’s mandate and the status of private sector organizations both in Armenia and Diaspora. The debate will focus on how to rally communities around ATN, as an effective tool for dialogue and joint business networking. This will be followed by the official delegates’ meeting, which will review organizational and membership issues and elect a new executive board.
