Summer Meeting Point - Vilnius |
|
|
|
As the traveling restrictions are lightening up, we are calling the global professionals for a 3rd annual GLL Summer Gathering, due to take place in Vilnius on July 29 afternoon. The professionals within the diaspora, business people, and policymakers from Lithuania will come together to find solutions to capture and accelerate the current trend of the return of the diaspora - be it physical or in a way of knowledge transfer. We will be looking at the "return" from various angles:
- representing Lithuania in international organizations
- joining non-executive boards
- remote work opportunities
- joining Lithuania's start-up eco-system
- better integration of foreign nationals, and more.
If you have anything to share on the above, contact us at events@lithuanianleaders.org as we would love to hear your experiences and opinions. It will help us build a more focused and result-oriented agenda.
As usual, after hard talks, we will move into the night of networking, this time devoted to celebrating the 15th-year anniversary of the Lithuanian City of London Club, the very first club of Lithuanian professionals abroad.
Pre-register for the Gathering HERE.

LCLC 15th Anniversary series of discussions continued with the second panel, this time on Diversity and Inclusion. A number of take-aways were presented by the panelists, but if there is only one to name, it has to be listening to others and learning how people feel. We are all unique in our personal experiences and that makes it impossible to truly understand someone else’s perspective, but what is within our gift is the ability to ask questions and learn with an open mind. Be curious and stay tuned for further discussions later in the year! Rewatch the discussion HERE.

Lithuanian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association teamed up with TGS Baltic to publish a report on Women in private equity and venture capital in the Baltics. The report contains interviews with fund managers, policy shapers, and investors, as well as interesting statistics. Read the full report HERE. The report reflects the position of women experts in one particular field of venture capitalism, however, conclusions can be made about the position of women experts in other public areas. There is a need to promote, champion, and connect female experts who work and hold senior positions in various industries and increase their visibility. GLL initiative Profesionales.lt seeks to solve the existing problem, by creating a public database of women experts. Register here and make your voice heard.
