Dear USET/USET SPF Family,
Economic Development Week is this week, May 12-16, 2025!
Across the USET region and throughout Indian Country, economic development plays a crucial role in creating jobs, improving infrastructure, and enhancing quality of life for our citizens. This week is a time for celebrating the growth and prosperity of our Tribal communities.
Join us in this second annual commemoration of Economic Development Week, showcasing the economic resiliency of our Tribal communities and highlighting the important work being done to promote sustainable Tribal economic growth. Through investments in education, infrastructure, and sustainable practices, not only are we building businesses but also preserving our heritage and ways of life.
We are also pleased to announce the release of the latest edition of the USET Tribal Enterprise Directory. This updated resource highlights the diverse range of tribally owned businesses across the USET region, serving as a powerful tool to promote economic opportunity, visibility, and collaboration within and beyond Indian Country. We encourage you to explore and share this important directory as we continue to uplift and support Tribal enterprises.
Throughout this week, we will celebrate the spirit of enterprise and innovation of Tribal Nations. We will showcase USET's Office of Economic Development technical assistance; we will honor the dedication of Tribal economic development professionals; and we will amplify what the future holds for the continued growth of economic development in the USET region.
