Do you work outside the home?

I’m retired now, but for many years I taught Challenge, a Gifted/Talented program with independent study and academic competitions – so fun!

What was the last gift you gave someone?

I made a chipboard photo album for my son’s family with pictures from their Disney trip. It was several inches thick, had all sorts of flip out sections and pages and panels, and it held 100+ photos. It took weeks to complete, but it was fun and challenging – right up my alley. They surely seemed to love it!

If you could compare yourself with any animal, which would it be and why?

I’ve always thought I’d be a cat – play, eat, sleep, but really I’m more like a beaver. Something drives me constantly to be involved in all sorts of projects, and I don’t stop until I’m happy with my work.

Are you married? With or without kids?

I have a super sweet husband, Robert, and two grown and married kids, Tommy and Brandi. Both of my kids’ families live pretty close, so I get to love on my 5 precious “Littles” Lincoln, Jack, Olivia, Charlie, and Lucy.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be and why?

I’d be Peachy Pink because that’s the color I most love to use in my designs.

Do you have any pets?

I’ve almost always had either a dog or cat or several. Our furbabies now are two little tabby kitties, Chris and Tammy, and they’re my little loves.

What is your favorite color (or color combination) that you just love to scrap with?

I love bright colors in scrapping and real life. So anything that has bright, cheerful colors jumps out at me and begs me to scrap with it!

You’ve been given an elephant. You can’t give it away or sell it. What would you do with the elephant?

Well I would be absolutely appalled at this. I’m not an animal person, but my kids would get such a kick out of it. I would put in the pasture behind the house and have the kids learn about elephants while taking care of it.

Are you married? With or without kids?

I’ve been married for 12 years now and have been blessed with 6 healthy children (2 girls, 4 boys). My kids range in age from almost 11 to 3 ½ including a set of twins

What would your perfect Saturday be like?

A perfect Saturday is getting up early, waking up the kids, packing up and eating breakfast in the van and escaping to the mountains for an epic hike.

If you could redesign the food pyramid without any dire health consequences how would it look?

More junk food. I have a terribly huge sweet tooth and have to set goals for myself to eat healthy otherwise I fall off that band wagon way to quickly.

Where would you go in a time machine?

Ancient Rome. I love to read and not being about to go to the library had me finally breaking down and reading the Julius Ceasar series by Conn Iggulden from my husbands book shelf. After reading them I’d love to get a taste of what life was like back then.

If you had a choice between two superpowers, being invisible or flying, which would you choose?

I would want to be invisible for a couple of reasons.  First of all, I am scared of heights!  And I am terribly shy so that being invisible thing sounds pretty darn good!

Do you work outside the home?

No, the company I worked for was bought out and I did not take a job in a big metropolitan area so I opted for the retirement package.  I grew up on a farm and really like the peace and quiet of where I am!

Are you married? With or without kids?

We have been married for 43 years. . .it is interesting that Mom thought it would last 6 months tops!  We have two grown daughters and three grandchildren.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be and why?

Mellow Yellow. . . I have always like yellow it is so bright and peaceful in my mind and I like a slower pace.

What would your perfect Saturday be like?

I’d like to sleep late (I usually wake up between 3 and 5 am every day for some reason).  Then I’d have a breakfast of coffee cake.  The rest of the day would be spent relaxing with the grandkids.  Someone else would fix dinner!!!
