November - rain storms, golden leaves, a selection of fungi in the Forest and (with the rain) the return of the mud! I've been trying to get into the woods as often as possible to capture the autumnal scenes, but our mild weather hasn't given us the normal riot of colour. The picture below was taken on one of my walks around Lydney lake, in the centre of the town. To me, it's quintessentially 'English rural town'. And glad I don't have to sweep the leaves.
Meanwhile, on the house renovations front, I'm now ensconced in my new study/library(lots of books)/overflow bedroom. It's far more cheerful than my unrenovated bedroom which until now had also served as my office. That room is currently being spruced up, and then a sprint to get all finished before Christmas (just). We have a month off before the kitchen extension starts. Ask me again, why? But the new location is fantastic, the house will be lovely, and well worth the hassle.
