Virtual Lake District Travel Trade Showcase

This week KTA took part in a virtual travel trade showcase.  During the course of the week Vanessa had Zoom meetings with 18 group travel operators covering the domestic and international markets.  Many knew only of Windermere and were keen to learn about a new area that could offer different experiences.  It was also very clear that there would be a shift to smaller groups and bespoke packages for independant travellers.

Vanessa will be following up with everyone that she spoke to and will also be sharing contact details for members that they had expressed an interest in.

Booking System Feedback

Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete the questionnaire.  Please note that the questionnaire was anonymous, so if there was anything in your comments that required a response please email us directly as we won't know who to reply to.

The Members sub-group will be meeting next week to discuss the responses.

What Does Crow Park Mean To You?

What happens when we shift our position from viewers of the natural world to cohabitors?

Artist Rebecca Beinart is developing Desire Lines, an art project engaging with local communities around Keswick hosted by the National Trust. The project explores the connections humans have with the natural world, and Rebecca will be working with local people to get to know Crow Park from lots of different perspectives. We'll (NT) be asking how a special connection with a local green space can influence the way we think about global issues of climate change, ecology and access.

Be inspired, get creative and make your voice heard. You can get involved through online discussions and creative workshops and help to shape a programme of different events, workshops and temporary installations on site and online between now and June 2021.

You can also keep up to date on the project on the NT Facebook page and on Rebecca’s website.
