Bring on the Tomatoes!
In my neck of the woods, it's finally warm enough to plant out tomatoes, peppers and other frost-tender plants, which have been warming their toes in the greenhouse for months.
This is the month when the garden comes together, and we start reaping the bounty.
Spring salads, peas, broad beans, artichokes and asparagus are all on the menu this month, along with the early brassicas like pak choi and broccoli raab.
Now's the time to finish off all of last season's preserved vegetables, because before long we'll be filling up the pantry again.
