My name is Dilyn Riesterer and I have joined the Center for International Education (CIE) team as an International Student and Education Abroad Advisor! I am a graduate of the UW Madison Global Higher Education Master’s program and have worked previously as a Study Abroad and International Student Advisor. I am excited to be at Madison College to advocate for and support international students as well as student’s pursuing education abroad. Outside of my profession, I enjoy traveling, drinking tea and coffee, exploring new places through food and interactions and being with my dog, Henry.

The Center for International Education (CIE) is looking to hire a student to assist with several projects and services for approximately 10-15 hours per week at $12.50 per hour. A period of paid training would begin immediately with hours continuing through spring and summer, if available. The position will involve assisting CIE staff with:
Answering phone, email, and walk-in inquiries about international admission and study abroad opportunities
Office organization and assistance
Creating promotional materials, handouts, forms, and displays
Other duties and projects as assigned
The ideal applicant would:
Be very well organized
Be able to work independently and with minimal supervision required
Be highly skilled in communicating both orally and through writing. Communication with faculty, staff, administrators, students and community members will frequently be necessary.
Have a course schedule that would allow for working with CIE at the Truax campus at least 2-3 hours at a time during standard business hours of 9:00am-4:30pm.
Be able to continue in the position for at least 2-3 semesters.
