A little transparency
Burnout!
For my art business, I make plans months, sometimes a year in advance, but sometimes our lives look really different 9 months from now that what we expected, but our commitments still stand.
I've struggled for the past few years with menopause-the scattered brain, depression and fatigue. It seems to go through phases. I'll start doing great, feeling energized and motivated again, and then BOOM, I just can't. I know on social media, you just see my happy colorful art, but I want you to know, I don't always feel that way. Art is my escape, but lately I don't even feel like painting, and my time to paint is few and far between. I don't say this for sympathy, or solutions, but just to show you my life "Behind the Brush". I'm also really loving my new role as a grammy, and trying to soak it all up. I get to keep my little man 2-3 days a week and wouldn't trade that time for anything!!!
So I'm just checking in here with you this month. I'm so so very grateful for the support you give me by engaging on social media, creating with me in my online studio and purchasing my art. I don't have a new YouTube video for you this month, or part 3 of my Creating with Clutter blog series, but I hope to have more for you in my mid-May issue.
Life is good; my foundation is on solid ground, and this soon will pass, but this month I'm overwhelmed again with life and trying hard to be present for the people who God has given to me, and available to the things He is calling me to. Overwhelmed with abundance and good things, but trying to figure out how to juggle it all.
