While it's not officially summer in my hemisphere until June 20th, the arrival of warm weather, long days, and cicadas in my corner of the world means that summer is almost here.
Some of my best summer memories are filled with long days and late nights reading books. From climbing a tree with a book and an apple when I was a kid to spending an afternoon at the beach with my toes in the sand and my nose in a book, I always read more in the summer months.
If you're a voracious ebook reader and want to add more books to your Kindle or Kindle app, be sure to check out these great resources for free Kindle books this summer:
1. The Fussy Librarian. Sign up for the free ebook newsletter for your favorite genre (or genres!)
2. Free Booksy. Another great newsletter that will send you links to daily free ebooks.
3. Overdrive. Check to see if your local public library is part of the Overdrive library system - you can check out free ebooks all summer long!
