Here we are, halfway through summer — the temperature outside is rising, everyone is gradually going on vacation... but we at EcoVisio are continuing our work. The first month of summer was particularly busy, with many study visits and other activities in the fields of energy efficiency and NGO capacity building.

| New moderators for the Keep Cool climate change game in Gagauzia |
|
|
On May 23-24, we organized a training course in Comrat, at the AXIS youth center, on how to lead this board game for those who work with young people and others. Thirteen representatives from seven different organizations participated in the training course. Find out more in this post.

| Study visit to Ungheni: the place where tastes and meanings are born |
|
On May 28, together with 18 farmers from the left bank of the Nistru River, we went to Ungheni to learn more about Trei Bobițe — a place where modern production is combined with tradition and attention to quality. The founders of the company told us how simple ingredients are used to create tasty and healthy products. Read more here.

| Creating the first energy community based on renewable sources requires a lot of information, clarity, and involvement |

In this context, the village of Cociulia hosted the second information session within the project "Piloting the renewable energy community." This time, together with expert Irina Apostol, we analyzed the selection regulations for establishing an energy community in the territory of GAL Colinele Tigheciului. We talked more about it here.

| Peer-to-peer learning between NGOs |

We have created an online space dedicated to the exchange of ideas, lessons learned, and case studies from the associative sector. In recent months, colleagues from organizations across the country—from Florești to Cimișlia—have come together in several online workshops as part of the capacity-building program "Strong NGOs for Resilient Communities." | Spring School for Young Trainers and Entrepreneurs 2025 |
|
|
Between April 14 and 17, the EcoVisio Training Center in Rîșcova hosted an intensive training program that brought together 25 young trainers, facilitators, and social entrepreneurs from Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, and Moldova. It was a launchpad for new partnerships and bold ideas, inspiring a new generation of leaders to contribute to building stronger, greener, and more resilient communities. Read more here.

| Visit to the Research Institute for Field Crops "Selecția" in Bălți |
|
|
On June 12, 16 farmers from the left bank of the Nistru River joined us on a trip to Bălți, where agriculture is practiced with care, knowledge, and respect for nature. We discovered experimental fields with crop rotation and natural methods, organic and conservation farming practices, and ideas that can take root in every household. | Study visit of international journalists to Moldova |
|
|
From June 17 to 22, we had the pleasure of hosting 18 journalists from six countries (Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Germany, and France) at EcoVillage Moldova in the village of Rîșcova. These journalists are passionate about the environment, sustainability, and solutions journalism, and they participated in the SDG MEDIA LABORATORY for Green Journalism project. During the six days, participants explored Chișinău, the EcoVisio Training Center, forests, wetlands, and villages, conducting field research in independent groups. The invited experts helped us address topics such as conflict-sensitive journalism in climate reporting, reforestation, organic farming, and more. Read more here.

Two intense days (June 14-15) of training, full of meaning and inspiration, took place at EcoVillage in Rîșcova. During the sessions, participants learned not only how to save energy, but also why this is vital—from a financial, environmental, and social perspective. More here.

| The Ungheni experiment continues! |

After a promising start on Mihai Viteazul Street, our Moldova #FărăDeșeuri multiplier team went door to door, talking directly to each family. It was more than an information campaign — it was a sincere conversation about how we can take concrete steps together toward a cleaner city. The specialists distributed reusable bags for the separate collection of plastic, metal, and cardboard, explaining clearly and simply how the waste should be prepared. Find out more in this post.

We want the Moldovan Climate Platform to bring together key actors from the public sector, civil society, the private sector, academia, and development partners to coordinate climate initiatives and promote concrete lobbying, advocacy, and awareness-raising actions.
📆 The event will take place on July 14, 2025, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the VisPas Chisinau Complex.
During the sessions, you will have the opportunity to express your institutional or personal position on climate challenges and contribute with concrete examples and proposals for shaping the strategic direction of the Platform.
