Leona squinted, striving for a better look at the wall screen behind Felipe. On it was a list of extravagant terms and definitions. She used the focus function. Once magnified, the definitions didn’t make any more sense, but at least, they gave her the beginning of a smile.
Propulsion Drives — A feat of acronyms
1. Early Drives (sources unverified)
HEhLL Drive: Higgs Event (horizon) Lower Liquefaction.
GGLAD Drive: Glandular/Gravity Lepton with Addition of Data (or Added Data).
HANDSOME Drive: Higgs Asset Non-Divisible Series On Modular Energies.
2. Blooms-Era Drives
MAJESTIC Drive (MD Drive): Initially: Momentum Accelerated Jet Entity Series (on) Tabular Intrinsic Comms. MAJESTIC was later proposed as a recursive acronym, and used as such by a majority of sources: Majestic Acceleration Jet Entity Series on Tabular Intrinsic Comms.
MAHAL Drive (Likewise referred to as MD, which was confusing throughout history): Majestic Activation of Higgs Area Landscapes.
Note: The MAHAL effect was discovered towards the end of the Small Bloom era. It is in fact what allowed the Big Bloom As a Project to emerge (BBAaP).
