Most of our Latin and Greek classes resumed yesterday for the summer term (thanks to my own Greek students for their patience and understanding when I had to reschedule our first class of the term).
I know I’ve said it before, but I'm so very proud of the students who came to the Classics Academy as complete beginners and are now in both intermediate and advanced classes. Your dedication and hard work is inspiring!
We are 12 weeks away from the start of the Belfast Summer School. Some of you have already booked your place: thank you.

We meet in-person at Queen’s University Belfast from Monday 17th until Friday 21st July. If you can’t come to Belfast, do join us online from Monday 24th July until Friday 4th August (no classes on Saturday or Sunday). The in-person courses are completely separate from the online courses, and one is not a prerequisite for the other.
The fees are as follows: one week £75, two weeks £140. Books are not required (unless you wish to buy one of course!); worksheets and notes will be provided.
Fees do not include accommodation in Belfast but you may be interested in student en-suite accommodation at Queen’s University Belfast. The complex is called Elms Village and is located 15-20 minutes walk away from our location. Search for "Elms Village" online or on accommodation booking apps.
The guest lecture programme is almost complete. To see who has been confirmed so far, take a look at the provisional programme on the summer school page: helenmcveigh.co.uk/product/belfastsummerschool
