HRSINGAPORE Community Discussions Medical Leave - Chicken Pox - Update 1 (Replies) QUESTION Dear all, A staff was given 3 weeks ML for chicken pox. Do it still falls under ML? Tina
REPLY 1 For us it's outpatient sick leave. If the ML is more than 14 days, some companies treat it hospitalization leave, as part of employer benefits. AL
REPLY 2 For our company, we will treat this as HL instead of ML. Munjit Kaur
REPLY 3 My company converts the medical leave for chicken pox into hospitalisation leave. Jocelyn
REPLY 4 For these long illness, hospitalisation leave could be used even if not warded in hospital. Just that some GPs does not know and put under MC. Dksw
REPLY 5 For such genuine cases, I would recommend for the balance ML be deducted from HL, under HR's discretion. Azirah
