Well, I didn't get much paint on my shorts this month. Since my night classes finished, I've been procrastinating and haven't done any painting—except for one attempt a few days ago that sucked and I threw out. 😆
I have done a few other art-related things though:
- I've been tidying up my little studio area in the garage. I got rid of a bunch of paintings and only kept the ones I liked most. I did try to re-gesso a few but realised the surface wasn't great and I'd wasted a lot of gesso doing it. so into the bin they went.
- I got Carol Marine's book Daily Painting out of the library again and have been reading that, preparing for painting small and regularly.
- I bought a ViewCatcher. Simple but really helpful tool.
- I ordered some Ampersand Value Series Artist Panels (8x8" flat) to try. I'm sick of the cheap ones that warp. These sound like they strike a good balance between quality and price. The only problem is the shipping cost from Australia. If they work out, I might buy in bulk next time.
So, once my panels arrive, I won't have any excuse for not painting!
