The USET HSES Committee is looking for new members!
Resolution 2018:001 October 12, 2017 Established in November 1994, Resolution 11/194-23FL as the EMS and Fire Protection Committee; established to address the concerns unique to these two departments and to provide for a network to inform and foster professional development in specific fields of Public Safety. In October 2001, Resolution 2002:002 the name was changed to Tribal Emergency Services. In 2017, the name changed to Homeland Security and Emergency Services to adequately capture the full responsibilities of the Committee and its members who are charged with supporting USET Tribal Nations in preparation for, mitigation of, response to and recovery from all hazards and natural disasters.
Who Should Join:
Anyone with a job function related to supporting USET Tribal Nations in preparation for, mitigation of, response to and recovery from all hazards and natural disasters, such as:
- Emergency Response/Coordination Personnel, Homeland Security Personnel
- Emergency Services Personnel/Emergency Medical Services Personnel, First Responders, Public Safety Personnel
- Risk Management Personnel, Community Planners, Cybersecurity Personnel
To join, please fill out this form that must be signed by your Tribal Leader, and email it to Brandy Venuti, bvenuti@usetinc.org. Each Tribal Nation can designate one voting representative and an alternate.
