To run for national office or the nominating committee, you must be an active member of the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy for at least 2 years as a full PT or PTA member. The following positions are available for nominations.

• President-Elect  2021-2022 (1 year)
  
  • At the end of the 1 year term, this position transitions to the President position for 1 year followed by the Past President position for 1 year.
    
• Director of Research  2021-2024 (3 years)
  
• Director of Education  2021-2024 (3 years)
  
• Nominating Committee Member  2021-2024 (3 years)
  
  • This  is not an officer position however is an elected position. If you are elected to this position, you will join two other Nominating Committee members. During the 3rd year of your term, this position transitions to the Nominating Committee Chair position.
    

Elections Timeline

Nominations close on April 15, 2020. Elections will open May 1-31, 2020 and results will be announced by June 6, 2020. The new officers/directors/members will take their oath of office at CSM 2021 in Orlando, FL (February).

The Academy has three special interest groups. The SSIG and EPSIG Director nominations are now open.

• Student Special Interest Group (SSIG)
  • The SSIG provides a forum to connect physical therapy students from across the nation on issues and topics relevant to you as a student or an rising early-professional. Need advice on applying to a residency program or need tips on how to pay off your student loans? The SSIG is here to help guide you and direct you to helpful resources!
• Early-Professional Special Interest Group (EPSIG)
  • The EPSIG provides a forum to connect early-career PTs and PTAs (0-5 years of practice) from a variety of clinical disciplines that promotes networking and cross-leveling of information.

Are you eligible?

• Student SIG Director Eligibility: You must be a 1st/2nd year Academy student member. The term limit is 1 year (up to 2 terms allowed to run for re-election as long as you still meet eligibility criteria).
• Early-Professional SIG Director Eligibility: You must be an Academy PT or PTA member. The term limit is 2 years, (up to 2 terms allowed to run for re-election as long as you still meet eligibility criteria). EPSIG members must be in their 0-5 years of practice. Once you reach your 5th year, you are no longer eligible to run for the EPSIG.
