Greetings ,
How are you? My "quiet" August has ended up being not so quiet in the end! This weekend we will be harvesting the damsons (for jam) and the elderberries (for syrup) and tidying up the hops that has gotten truly out of control all over our garden. As usual - and if you have the KNITSONIK Sourcebook, you'll know the story - we have not had a single walnut from our tree, though we've loved the company of the squirrels who have harvested them all.
As I type, my parents are bringing my nephew Barney to Shetland for the first time, for a long-weekend adventure. Due to a recent spree of hat knitting he has a choice of two special knitted hats to wear on this trip - one based on the Scottish flag and one based on the Shetland flag.
If you’re pressed for time there’s the handy TL;DR digest but if you'd like to spend some of today with me here, please grab a chair, fetch up your preferred refreshments and settle in for a roundup of summery, woolsy, star-sparkled KNITSONIK news.
