I'm thrilled to reveal the front cover of The Demons Among Us to you first as a newsletter subscriber. After I asked your opinion last month, the majority of you chose this design. We tweaked it by adding an anhinga flying across the moon, a different title typeface, and evil eyes in "Demons." Thank you so much for your honest feedback.

I would be honored if you'd consider becoming a member of my launch team. In a nutshell, you'd need to read The Demons Among Us and post your honest review on Goodreads, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble. It would be a bonus if you could talk up my novel on your social media accounts. The typesetters should have the manuscript ready for eReaders by the end of June. Please email me by May 30 at firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like to join my team.
Court of Swans
I’ll admit that I’m not a huge fan of romance novels, but my Storyteller Squad peeps encouraged me to read this one. So glad I listened to them. Court of Swans turned out to be so entrancing that I couldn't put it down. The novel has a definite fairy tale flavor with . . . spoiler alert . . . a happy ending. Great for female teens who need a break from real life. Set in 1381, this Christian story revolves around Delia, her seven brothers, and a brave knight who is forced to arrest the brothers for treason. He later regrets his actions and joins with Delia to rescue her brothers.
I'm a founding member of the Storyteller Squad, twelve Christian writers of MG and YA fiction. Established in 2016, we banded together to help parents and teens find clean reads and assist young writers with their craft. We've posted book reviews, writing tips, and words of motivation three times a week on our blog.
Starting this month, we're changing our format a little to offer more resources to parents and teen readers. On Tuesdays, we'll host a Book Club and delve deep into a different book each month (MG in even months and YA in odd months). Our blogs will feature video interviews with authors, background information on settings, Facebook Live discussions, and quizzes with prizes. The Court of Swans is the first book we'll read together.
On Thursdays, we'll continue to provide parents of teens with ideas to motivate reluctant readers, MG and YA publishing industry news, and writing tips. We invite you and your favorite teen to check out our site and our Facebook page.
