Dear Members,
February was a remarkable month for Pakistan’s tech industry, marked by global representation, strategic partnerships, and impactful industry engagements. P@SHA led a strong delegation at LEAP 2025 in Saudi Arabia, where over 400 industry leaders attended the Pakistan Business Forum. This platform enabled key discussions on cross-border collaboration, investment opportunities, and digital transformation. Additionally, at Web Summit Qatar 2025, P@SHA members connected with global innovators, reinforcing Pakistan’s role in the international tech ecosystem.
Our delegation also engaged in high-level discussions with Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) and Türkiye’s business community, paving the way for future partnerships and business expansion. At home, the HBL P@SHA CXO Meetup in Lahore brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and academia to discuss crucial topics such as financing for IT businesses, policy reforms, and the roadmap for IT growth in Pakistan. P@SHA continues to engage with FBR, the State Bank of Pakistan, and TDAP, advocating for policies that foster a conducive environment for IT exports.
We officially launched the Skills Requirement Survey 2025 in collaboration with GIZ and PSEB, aimed at identifying workforce needs and addressing the talent gap in the IT sector. Additionally, our work with the British Council and NAVTTC is shaping industry-relevant curricula in digital marketing, e-commerce, game development, and content creation, ensuring our talent remains globally competitive.

P@SHA Delegation at LEAP 2025: Strengthening Pak-Saudi Tech Ties
Pakistan made a powerful impact at LEAP 2025, held from February 9-12 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With 12 participating companies and 17 delegates, the delegation showcased Pakistan’s technological prowess, fostering strategic networking and collaborations to strengthen Pak-Saudi tech relations.
Supported by PSEB, Tech Destination Pakistan, Ministry of IT & Telecom, Special Investment Facilitation Council, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, and the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh, the event provided an exceptional platform for industry leaders, investors, and innovators to explore billion-dollar tech opportunities.

HBL P@SHA CXO Meetup Lahore
On 21st February 2025, P@SHA hosted the HBL P@SHA CXO Meetup in Lahore, bringing together industry leaders, experts, and key stakeholders for an evening of insightful discussions and networking.
The event was honored by the presence of PSEB CEO Mr. Abu Bakar, alongside P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Syed, Vice Chairman Raheel Iqbal, Treasurer Muhammad Haris Naseer, and esteemed P@SHA CEC members, including Abdul Wahab, Hassan Bin Rizwan, Salman Dar, Sheikh Abdul Qadir, Usman Akbar, Dr. Sonia Saleem, Secretary General Ali Hasani, and the P@SHA Team.

P@SHA successfully led a high-impact delegation to Web Summit Qatar 2025, held from February 23-26 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). Sub-Working Group Meetings with FBR and State Bank
In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecom (MoITT), sub-working groups have been established in collaboration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). These groups include key stakeholders such as PSEB, the Pakistan Banks Association, and PAFLA, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive approach.
The primary focus of these working groups is to address critical areas, including:
Tax incentives for the IT sector
Facilitation schemes to support industry growth
Enhancing the ease of doing business
Enabling seamless digital banking solutions for the sector
These groups convene on a weekly basis to review progress, discuss key developments, and ensure effective follow-up on all action items.

Pakistan-Türkiye Business Forum 2025
P@SHA, in collaboration with its member companies, actively participated in the Pakistan-Türkiye Business Forum 2025. The forum coincided with the official visit of the President of Türkiye to Pakistan on February 13, 2025, accompanied by a high-level Turkish business delegation.
As part of the engagement, B2B meetings provided an opportunity for IT companies to explore bilateral trade, investment, and collaboration prospects.

British Council-NAVTTC Qualification Development
Syeda Safa Hassany from P@SHA Secretariat attended this 5 day activity, held in IMSciences University Peshawar. This collaborative effort as part of the British Council TVET Sector Support Program, aims to create Centers of Excellence in KP and Balochistan where high quality and industry led training will be provided to college female students and align education with industry demands, fostering growth in Pakistan's creative industries. The activity focused on the development of curriculum for the following domains:
1- Digital Marketing and Content Creation
2- e-Commerce
3- Game Development
4- Video and Graphic Designing
Learning elements were identified on the basis of competency standards developed with input from industry experts and educators. P@SHA assisted in the development of these documents, taking the lead in ensuring that the curriculum aligns with industry requirements, equipping students with relevant skills and knowledge to meet market demands effectively.
