Time flies.

It's been a year to this day that I started on my re-boot for my comic book Mayfield Eight, a 6 part saga covering a wild and dangerous weekend in the life of a 17 year old fry cook who gets caught up in Biker gangs, drug lords, crooked cops and a snarky waitress named Tina.

I had part one funded on Kickstarter alright but kept stumbling on getting the other 5 parts off the ground. I'm happy to say within 6 months I was back on track and Chapter 2 'White Meat' was successfully funded! (and for sale online, hint hint).

The emails have been fun to make! Every Tuesday and Thursday I posted a new message with updates on Mayfield Eight, techniques and practices I use in making comics, thoughts and observations on movies, books and trends that resonate with me, as well as the occasional review of another creator's comic book or announcement of a great comic on Kickstarter you should back!

It's been a great feeling knowing that I've come this far, and for a lot of you on my subscriber list who have opened up my Tuesday and Thursday conversations about the latest thing that popped in my head.

I've had great feedback too. The waterbed article got a response of a guy who as a kid had a major leakage accident/salvage emergency involving his brother, a hunting knife and some rope. Another one about Patty Hearst got me a story of a personal account of a small California town's hardware store shoot out with the SLA!

I'm looking forward to continuing the palaver with you for another year every Tuesday and Thursday! There's a lot of awesome things coming down the pike, namely Chapter 3 of Mayfield Eight: 'Faster, Faster!' heading to Kickstarter December 10!

Thank you very much for keeping step with me.
