Psalms for the Pilgrim

Continuing with our new series exploring the power of the Psalms, this month we look at Psalms of Disorientation. Canon John Udris from Northampton Diocese guides us around some rich Psalms and shows us shafts of light when life is hard. This ancient poetry speaks to us today with its wealth of experience of what it means to be truly human and to live life to the full. Perfect reading for the pilgrim.

Scripture for September: Jeremiah 17:7-8

⁷Blessed are those who trust in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
⁸They shall be like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots by the stream.
It shall not fear when heat comes,
and its leaves shall stay green;
in the year of drought it is not anxious,
and it does not cease to bear fruit.

In this Creationtide season why not plant a tree for the healing of the world.
