Prayer Points from ministry leaders around the world:

• Pray for a student of Steve Van Zanen, a Resonate missionary who serves at LCC International University in Lithuania. While the student has experience with faith, taking this course was his first real experience with the Bible—and he’s been asking Steve a lot of questions ever since! Pray that this student will come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
  
  
• Please pray for Liamary and her family. Liamary is a student at a Resonate partner Christian school in the Dominican Republic. Pray that Liamary will continue to experience Jesus' abounding love and grace in the classroom. Pray for healing for her mother, too. 
  
  
• Resonate missionaries Luke and Kelsey Carrig, who serve in Ireland, ask you to pray for God to continue to open doors into various communities around them.
  
  
• Please pray for Resonate's Cohort Detroit. “As we emerge from the pandemic, we've seen a renewed need for providing spiritual support, theological and missional formation, and deep community alongside young Detroiters already serving in Detroit, many of whom face significant social, emotional, and relational challenges," said Nathan Groenewold, who leads Cohort Detroit.
  
  
• Resonate missionaries in Hungary ask you to pray for one of their friends (we'll call him Ben), who is grieving the loss of his mother. Your missionaries have been sharing with Ben about their hope and faith in Christ, and they ask you to pray that Ben will have an open heart.
  
  
• Sunday, September 12 is the beginning of Mission Emphasis Week. Many CRC congregations will be celebrating and learning more about mission. This year’s theme—Whole Church, Whole Gospel, Whole World—focuses on Acts 1:8 and how each of us has a role in God’s plan for redemption. Ask the Holy Spirit to equip, encourage, and provide opportunities for every believer to share the hope of the gospel.

Resonate missionaries James and Barbarita Lee, who serve with a campus ministry in Mexico, recently asked you to pray for a leadership retreat they were hosting for students. Thank you for praying!

More than 30 students participated. They learned and discussed how each of them are part of God's story to renew all things. "God has raised up new leaders in the pandemic to extend his kingdom at every corner of the campus in Mexico,” said the Lees.
