We had a wonderful, Spirit-filled Resurrection Day Worship Service. The service included Bible Quotations by children from the Children's Ministry, Music from our choir, and a stirring sermon delivered by Rev. Tony Laine. His sermon title was "The Pinnacle of Proof with Life Altering Results or I Accept the Invitation" from the text Luke 24:38-39, and 1 John 3:2
Following worship service, the children enjoyed an Egg Hunt in the lawn surrounding the "Old Barber Shop."

This Resurrection Sunday we celebrate our risen Savior—the One who conquered death on a cross. 1 Corinthians 15:17 teaches us, “And without His Resurrection, we are lost.”
John 20:1-10 (NIV) says…Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.
So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”
So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in.
Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.
Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.
Jesus, as the only Man to declare complete victory over death, was/is the God/Man. Fully God. Fully man. Only He could take on the sins—past, present, and future—of the whole world. And the best news? He is alive forevermore, and He is at the Father’s right hand and is preparing a place for us believers. (Mark 16:9; Hebrews 7:25)
As we gather this Resurrection Sunday, it is a time of great rejoicing, knowing the risen Savior forgives our sins. To God Be The Glory that throughout this Resurrection Sunday, our day as Christians centers on celebrating our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and His victory over death. Because He lives, we live!

The grounds around the "Old Barber Shop" became an egg hunt treasure hunt location for the children. Children large and small with baskets and bags in hand scurried over the grass looking for brightly colored eggs, some plastic with yummy treats inside. All of the egg hunters seemed to have had a great time and really enjoyed the challenge of locating the hidden eggs scattered across the "Old Barber Shop" lawn.
Thank you to the Egg Hunt Committee, Sisters Whitney Jackson, and Bilan White and Brother Desmond Duncan for planning a very successful Egg Hunt for the Children.

FLU
Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death.
Flu shots are available at local pharmacies. Consult your physician regarding a flu vaccination.
RSV
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common, contagious virus that usually causes mild symptoms. In older adults and adults with certain underlying conditions, RSV can cause severe infections.
RSV shots are available at local pharmacies. Consult your physician regarding a RSV vaccination.
COVID-19
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. Anyone can get sick with COVID-19 and become seriously ill or die at any age.
The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the disease and how the virus spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by staying at least 1 metre apart from others, wearing a properly fitted mask, and washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently. Get vaccinated when it’s your turn and follow local guidance.
The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe. These particles range from larger respiratory droplets to smaller aerosols. It is important to practice respiratory etiquette, for example by coughing into a flexed elbow, and to stay home and self-isolate until you recover if you feel unwell.
Both COVID vaccines and Booster COVID vaccines are available at local pharmacies. Consult your physician regarding COVID vaccinations.
