Summer Reading is Here!

Get ready for an eventful Summer Reading Program. This year's theme is Oceans of Possibilities. The main library and all three branches have exciting programs and awesome take and make crafts. Be sure to sign up if you haven't yet!

Acrylic Paint Party

June 4th at 10am

Kick Off Party

Monday, June 6th at 1:30 pm 

 The Summer Reading kickoff party will be at the library hosting Brukner Nature Center. 

Everyone that is registered for our summer reading program by June 5th will be entered into a drawing for Dayton Dragons tickets that will be given away at the kickoff party.

 

Scavenger Hunt

Starting June 6th 

There will be a scavenger hunt on the Marion Bike Path. Find the letters on the signs that are randomly on the bike path. 

Turn in your letters for a code to earn extra points.

Monday, June 13th at 1:30 pm AND 3 pm. -Grand Lake St. Marys Park District will be presenting and the craft will be an octopus.

Tuesday, June 14th -- Family night.  6:30 pm.  The craft will be a crab.  

Thursday, June 16th - 6:30 to 7:30 pm - Lego night.   No age limit. Parental supervision required as some pieces are rather small. Lego night is the third Thursday of every month.

Monday, June 20th at 1:30 pm AND 3 pm.  -- Grumpy Goat Experiment will be presenting and the craft will be a shark puppet.

Monday, June 27th at 1:30 pm AND 3 pm -- Soil & Water Conservation District will be presenting and the craft will be a PB jar aquarium.

Book Discussion

Tuesday, June 7th -- Book discussion in the library basement at 7 pm.  The book being discussed is Eternal by Lisa Scottoline.  

The book for July will be After the End by Clare Mackintosh.

  • Senior Citizens play cards every Thursday afternoon at 1:30 pm.  Just drop in.
